meet pango

Pango is our 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 Td5. Two years ago, we bought it sight unseen in Africa while still living and working in the Netherlands. Within four months, we stripped it, rebuilt it, and turned it into a full-time overland vehicle — all documented on YouTube.

Since then, we have been driving through 15 countries in Southern and East Africa, and taking you along for the ride. Besides a few breakdowns 🙃, it has brought us more adventures, stories, memories, and friendships than we could have ever imagined when we started living this life.

travel adventures in africa

Pango has taken us to some of the most beautiful places in Africa. From the highlands of Kenya to the tropical coast of Mozambique, and from the rainforests of Uganda to the vast Namib Desert. And we hope he’ll take us to many more. Follow our journey and watch all our films on YouTube.

a good cause

Our rig, Pango, is named after the endangered pangolin—the most trafficked mammal in the world. It’s a simple way to spark curiosity and start conversations, helping us raise awareness for this remarkable and vulnerable species, both online and on the road.

During our travels, we’ve been fortunate to encounter both ground and tree pangolins, and to witness the inspiring work of conservationists in countries like Mozambique, Uganda, and South Africa.
